Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala → Bwindi National Park — Crossing the Line
Activity 1: Scenic Drive to Bwindi
Your safari begins at 8:00 AM with pick-up. We drive west via Masaka, crossing the invisible line of the Equator. The journey continues through captivating highland scenery, papyrus swamps, and tea-carpeted valleys of Western Uganda.
Activity 2: Equator Stop & Village Walk
Stop at the Equator crossing for photographic fun and a picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, take a village walk near the park entrance for respectful cultural portraiture.

Day 2: Bwindi Forest — Face-to-Face with the Giants
Activity 1: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
After an early breakfast, report to the park offices by 8:00 AM for the mandatory briefing.
Begin your gorilla trekking adventure—a challenging but unforgettable trek through the dense, luminous rainforest to locate the assigned gorilla family.
The Encounter: You are allowed one hour of observation time with the gorilla family once located. Trekking may take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the family’s location. Carry packed lunch, water, and rain gear.
Evening: Take a nature walk in the forest to photography Munyaga Falls or Visit the Batwa community.
The Batwa community. Once forest dwellers and hunters, the Batwa share their jungle wisdom through songs, drumming, fire-making, and storytelling. Their performances — half myth, half lived history — reveal secrets of survival and a deep spiritual bond with the forest.

Use fast primes (35–85mm) for expressive low-light portraits.
Wide apertures (f/1.8–2.8) isolate faces, beads, and drum details.
Slow shutter (1/30–1/60s) adds motion blur to dancing.

Wildlife (Gorillas): Turn off flash (not allowed). Use a fast lens (f/2.8–4) and high shutter speed to manage low light and freeze movement. Use silent shutter mode. Capture wide shots of the misty forest to add atmosphere to close-up portraits.
Macro & Plant Photography: Carry a macro lens for fungi, ferns, and insects. Look for water droplets on leaves for close-up shots with beautiful bokeh.
Day 3: Bwindi → Kampala/Entebbe — Art, Craft & Departure
Activity 1: Return Journey
Enjoy an early breakfast and begin the drive back to Kampala/Entebbe (9–10 hours).
Activity 2: En-route Cultural Stops
En-route lunch and a stop at the traditional drum makers to capture the craft process.
Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe by early evening for your onward travel arrangements.
