Day two takes you by speedboat across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary — 100 acres of forest inhabited by over 50 rescued chimps.

At UWEC use 100–400 mm for animals in enclosures — wire fences disappear at f/5.6+ with a long lens. At Ngamba Island the feeding platform puts chimps at eye level; 70–200 mm f/2.8 captures expressive portraits beautifully. Shoot chimps in shade rather than patchy light for even exposures.
