Note on Forest Species
This itinerary focuses on lowland forests and savannahs and does not reach the
high-altitude forests (like Bwindi/Mgahinga) where the true Albertine Rift Endemics
(e.g., Rwenzori Turaco, Handsome Francolin) are found. The forest species targeted
in Budongo are restricted-range species of the Guinea-Congolian forest
biome.
